You might be a crazy chicken lady/gent if...Go on, post yours!

When everyone tells you you obsess over chickens, and even tell you to shut up after an hour or so of talking about chickens, and you draw pictures of chickens in the shower with chalk. while you are taking a shower.

Or...
when you meet someone new and the only ice breakers you have...that would work on yourself...are ALL about your chickens........
Man i thought I was the only one who did these things!
...I'm not alone..!

When browsing recipes...."hmm, 4 eggs...lets try it!"

I'm always looking for ways to enjoy our eggs, without eating scrambled eggs all the time.

If, while shopping for houses, each one was immediatly evaluated on whether there was not only ROOM for the chickens, but a good place to put the coop close enough to the house to charge outside and scare off predators in the middle of the night.
And also while house shopping you considered the neighbors to be good ones (even if you never saw them) if there were chickens in their yard.
If, even though you sell eggs, you are pleased to see more 'eggs for sale' signs showing up in your area so you have more people to talk to about chickens... and maybe trade with!
If you check this forum daily on your lunchbreak because you are having chicken withdrawls.
If you go shopping for a freezer and instead of discussing its capacity in cubic feet, you discuss it in 'surplus roosters' even though the salesman is giving all *five* of you a strange look.
If you ordered a half dozen hatching eggs on 3 separate occasions and each time recieved 8 eggs. Then decided, rather than call them 'extras', to invent the 'chicken keepers dozen' which is 16 instead of 12, just so you can say you only have a 'dozen' chickens (and of course, need more!) Take that bakers, we can have our own interpretation of 'dozen' as well.

Well, I don't have chickens yet. BUT, I have 40 eggs in the bator. and I am so worried about temp and humidity that I check it every time I walk by. I even went and bought a wireless thermo/hygrometer so I can carry it around the house with me all day and night. I was up till 1am worrying about temp. I added room temp. eggs to bator for a staggerd hatch. they dropped temp. in bator. I kept adjusting temp till 11pm. then tried to sleep, kept waking up to look at wireless meter. Then had to get up at 4am for work. LOL I am so worried. I want all my babies to make it. still air lil giant bator and turner (TSC) temp stays 99.5-101 at egg hight. and humidity is 55%. Still worried!!!!! Wish me luck!
Thanks and God Bless
I'm not crazy, Im not, Im not, Im not!!!! Was that a peep??????
