Growing up my sister had a toy poodle-maybe 5 pounds- less than a foot tall. Well I had a Alaskan semoian/ collie mix. Over 75 pounds over a foot wide could put front paws on the top of the car and his face was level with the drivers. Stood 3 feet tall when on all 4s. Well little poodle was way past prime and bearing age so we thought but guess what? She gave birth to 3 pups. One was still born and another died shortly after birth but probably due more to her age than anything else. It was funny seeing baby running around with mom at 6 weeks. He was small when born but grew quickly to 3 x her size.
