Yesterday morning I realized my 12 wk old chicks had been attacked. Out of 11 chicks, 2 had heads removed. I didn't see any marks or injuries on any of the others. I had an appointment that took longer than expected. When I got home another chick was gone, and one with its wing torn off. I tried to clean it with warm water and Dawn dish soap, and sprayed VetRx on it. This morning after keeping them shut into coop all night she seems fine. But I am worried. Should I keep her in house, and will she survive with only one wing? I had them in a small wire run, this is 1st time in a year of having chickens, that I have had a predator problem. Any ideas what it could have been, and how to treat the chick?

Can you post a picture of the injured chick, the other dead chicks' injuries if possible, and your coop and run setup? It is certainly possible for a chicken to survive with one wing so if she pulls through, she'll be a bit less agile but should be able to live an otherwise normal life with fairly minimal assistance
