Young chicken eggs

Has anyone ever eaten "young chicken eggs" or "unborn chicken eggs"? I was following a link to a link to a link... found some references but wondered if anyone here who butchered had eaten them or knew anything about them?

I’ve seen them many times over the years but I’ve never eaten one to my knowledge. My Creole grandmother used to make some very unusual dishes and I may have eaten them and didn’t know it.

She didn’t speak much English and my mother never taught us to speak much French. I will call my mom tomorrow and ask her about that.

I read of this once in an Amish cookbook. They used the un-laid but formed eggs for making noodles. Cooked the hen, too, and had a whole chicken and noodles dish.

When I got the idea to buy some turkeys on CL this spring and butcher them myself, the hen had a perfectly formed egg in her oviduct. It was so cool!! I showed it to everybody and then fed it to my husband the next morning unbeknownst to him. Buahaha...
