We have four. I don’t think they are keeping them from going I just think their presence of being in there is the issue ha ha. Once they get in there the little snuggle right close to the big girls just in the other side of the mesh.

Hi again! How many older hens do you have? You might try sitting out by the coop in the evening for a few days, watch to see if the big girls are keeping the chicks from going in to roost. Good luck!

I was out little later for work today and my wife put everyone back in the run this evening and left the door to the coop open. I was pleasantly surprised to find the little ones in the coop and snuggled up against the older girls keeping warm. It’s a cooler night tonight. My older girl have a bad habit of not roosting because they came from a production farm. So the little one were on the floor with them. Usually they do roost to sleep when I put them up. I’m going to let them be tonight and let them get comfortable with the older girls.
