Young chickens won’t go in coop with the older girls

Re-read my post #9 above and see that is confusing. The Big Girls roost in the original 8x10 hen house while the chicklets are still in a smaller storage shed.

The coop and the two roosting bars is about 4 foot long each the coop itself is 5’x 4’ with four nesting boxes

So I think part of the issue is there may not enough distance between the two bars to keep the older ones from harassing the younger ones. Just guessing but the bars look maybe 12" apart? So even though you have just about enough roost space, it isn't all really usable if the older birds can just reach over to peck the younger ones. Also overall coop space is going to be too tight as these chicks all start growing up.

You'll only know for sure what's going on in there if you go out at dusk and watch what they're doing. Or use a phone or camera to record their activity.
