I have a 4 week old dove who has a big, swollen lump on her bill. There is no discoloration or dots even on the inside. I looked it up and the only thing that seemed possible for her age and symptoms was a cyst. Any ideas on what it is or any treatment? I'll try to get some pictures soon.

Could be start of the pox.

If the lump turnes yellow its the pox virus disease. Usually more pox warts will appear.

It could also be a cyst.. but this is very rare.

See what happens in a couple of days and if its not getting better its best to take the bird to a vet.. otherwise it may get a deformed beak as it grows.

If its pox, but supportive care is needed and the spot will turn black and then dry out and fall off.

It has FINALLY disappeared

. It was the same size for about a week and then it started going down. I was really worried for a while because she started moving around less and not using her left leg but now she's acting fine.
Thanks for all of your help! I still haven't figured out what it was and I didn't do anything, it just got better!
Thanks again!
