My mom keeps ducks and has for awhile now. A little over a month ago she got two more Pekin ducklings from TSC. One of them was doing fine walking around and then later that day could only hobble around. I checked to see if it had broke it's leg and couldn't find anything. No odd angles or pain or heat and swelling. So I moved on to a nutrient deficiency. I supplemented their water according to the instructions and it seemed to help and then the next couple days nothing. It looks as if her toes are pulled in too close together and her leg is stuck in the raised position. So if it wasn't broken and nutrients did not help what could cause this? We had one with a bum leg that we still have. But she was stepped on by a mule at my aunt's.

20% I believe. sounds like a niacin deficiency the best thing to use for it is B complex liquid from TSC sometimes only one out of a clutch will have a niacin def all the rest no troubles but we have seen great recovery from B Complex Liquid TSC has it in the cattle dept it will say injectable but we use it orally 1 ml daily.

Many use Purina Flock raiser or other brands of all flock and don't have any problems with it. But some duckling even though flock raiser has the right amount of niacin in it still need extra help that is where B Complex comes in.
