I have a young hen that I think is broody (on 1 EGG)
she puffs up and makes that noise when I get by her.
also, could 1 broody encourage another to be broody?
I had a maren go broody 7 days ago and now this one is acting like it?
- you need to give people a chance to see the post. It may take hours (up to a day) before lots of people have had a chance to respond. And, just so you know, it is against the rules to bump your post.
Now... broody hens. It sounds like your second hen is broody, if she continues to sit tight for the next day I'd say she is for sure.
I don't have the experience to know if one hen and "encourage" another hen to go broody. Someone else here will be able to answer that for you.
