Young hen stopped laying eggs

I have an 8-month-old hen (Pidge) that started laying eggs a few months back and while it was never daily, she was laying. She stopped laying after one of our chickens was killed by a hawk and then started laying a few weeks later. An old chicken passed away from an egg breaking inside of her and she stopped laying after that and now it has been about a month. Can they stop laying just because they are sad or have lost another chicken? She seems okay other than just not laying eggs. I would love any thoughts on the matter.

Yes, any change can cause her to stop laying. Is she confined to the coop and run or does she free range? Is it possible shes laying somewhere else?

She does free range but when she has been cooped up for a day or so there is still no egg.
