I have 7 nesting boxes outside and another one in my garage for my special needs japanese hen. only 8 hens outside in the coop are laying and they all prefer to come into the garage to share 1 nesting box. They cause quite the ruckus in the morning fighting to be thie first one in the box. The box is big enough for 3 banties easy but they aren't the sharing type i guess LOL.
