I am so happy!
Young hens are laying their 1st eggs now & my Eggscitement must be shared! Looky here, Eye candy for my fellow chicken lovers!

The newest colors are in the green & blue shades. I am doing a happy dance & can't wait to show my customers at the market.

The newer ones are EEs mixed with anyone's guess. They are cute, fun & sweet natured.
My regular flock has had EEs, Barred Rock, RIR, Maran, Australorp, Wyandotte, Buff Orpington, Big Brahma Mama & a few Mystery Mixes resembling Comets & ISA Browns but apparently they're so mixed they have longevity which makes me happy. I am blessed that they all are friendly, too, even the Roos. Today Everyone gets extra hugs.

The eggs are beautiful, and so are the girls that laid them! With some of them (your newest ones?), their cute poofy head crests that match their cute poofy cheeks and beards suggest that they are Crested Cream legbars crossed with EEs.

Wow that's cool. The man I got them from had a lot of chicks that he actually got elsewhere, all local farms, but it's just a guess as to who laid what egg. I'd never seen the top notches before & oh my goodness what little cute puff balls as chicks! I was just a human chicken mama in love the moment I saw those adorable babies.
