Young laying hen hopping on one foot and closing one eye

For the past two days I have a young hen I got not too long ago for laying so she just made laying age. Lately she has been unable to walk on one foot leaving her unbalanced and just a bit tired. Strangely though she also closes her right eye all the time the left is usually open. She still eats and is relatively active so I’m unsure what to do. Her stool is normal and her condition is pretty consistent.

I figured why she was closing her eye there are these little white bugs crawling on her face does anyone know what they are?

She’s also opening her beak to breathe sometimes now but not sure if that’s just because she’s hot

You meniton it's hot where you're at and it looks like there's pavement. It's possible she burned the skin under her feet. Or maybe bumblefoot.

As for "little white bugs," does she have lice?

Thank you for the reply, I’ve taken her to a avian vet and they said it could be a sprain or break on the leg and also lice so luckily not too serious just need to clean out their house and treat them for lice.
