Young or older hen?

Got her at a swap last Saturday. Can you all tell if she's young or old?

My gut instinct says that she is an older hen taking a break in her laying cycle - perhaps just completing a molt.
Oh thats great I was hoping for a young egg layer lol my husband keeps insisting she's older 😅
 
Here is another picture of her. Looks like scaly leg mites to me as well. I'll get another picture tomorrow. How is that treated?

You are correct, she has scaly leg mites. And she is older about a 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 years old based on the condition of her feathers and legs.
