We have 3 young Polish that are around 6-8 weeks old. A blue, a buff and a gold laced. Not sure why but they differ widely in size. The gold laced is the tallest, followed by the buff who is 1/3 smaller, and the blue is the size of a fat cockatiel - she is simply tiny. Very cute, but what a midgit.
They have been raised in a large plastic tub and been taken out during the day to a tractor for the past couple weeks. The last couple days we decided to give them the run of the yard.
What is odd, and troubling, is that the blue one - when we place her out on the lawn, even with none of the hens from our mature flock, all she does is squat down on the lawn and sit there face down. The other two are doing normal chicken stuff - scratching, pecking, wandering. But this one just sits there and does absolutely nothing.
Any thoughts?
