Young Pullet and Soft Eggs

I had two soft eggs laid in the coop this morning :hmm now I am back to being worried. I hope they are just working out the kinks.
Hang in there...as long as they are eating drinking pooping and moving OK, I'd not worry too much. Some newbies are more likely to lay softies at first.

I'm wondering if it's just because they started laying early at 16 weeks? Most breeds I have had were always much later. But I am keeping an eye on them to make sure none look lethargic. Thanks for the reassurance.

It might be because they are younger.
What are you feeding?
Lots of fresh plain water available?

Yeah I actually have been putting out extra water because its been so hot here this past week and have been changing out the water every two hours so that its cool. They are on flock raiser because I have other pullets who are 9 weeks and 14 weeks. I have oyster shells in a container on the side. The first couple of eggs we got were good, just small but since then we have mostly been getting soft eggs laid in the night.
