Young pullet laying on side

I have a question I need some help with. I moved a group of young birds on Sunday into my hen house to make room for some new birds. I moved each one carefully and placed them inside the henhouse. I cam home from school yesterday and found one of the young ones laying on its side. I 1st thought it was stretching itself out, but I checked on them later when it was feeding time and it was still in the same position. It is alive and had a normal colored poop, but just not walking upright or standing either. The others are fine. I was wondering if anybody else has had this occur. I placed them on perch poles the 1st night because they are 3 1/2 - 4 months old I was wondering if the silly bird could have injured itself trying to fly down. Will it be all right?? Any and all opinions are appreciated in this matter.

A better description would help. Does she have any visible injuries? Does the leg or legs appear to be paralyzed (Marek's?)? Which side appears to be injured, the left or right? What do you feed them? Is there a possibility of vitamin deficiency?

It does appear to be paralyzed on one side, but the young one can't stand nor has any use of its wing. Have never had any problems with marek's before. The other youngsters are all very lively. This one was fine on Sunday afternoon when I moved all of them. They have been eating cracked corn, grapes and day old bread for over a month. This one has "hunkered" down in the hay away from the others. It is a game chicken and have had great success with them for the last 2 years. I tried to place all of them on their perches Sunday night and I was wondering if he/she injured itself trying to get off the perch at night. Any ideas about what to do??

how high are the roosts?
she might have fallen..or was spooked by something and jumped and injured herself.

do you not feed them chicken feed?
they should be on chick or grower feed till they start to lay, or just before they're due to start laying.....then layer feed.
what you're feeding them is not a healthy diet.

what breed of game birds are they?

separate her to a warm safe place..on soft bedding, with feed and water close by..
if she is unable to eat or drink, you can handfeed and water..(don't pour water down the throat..give by drops on beak)
she needs to be kept hydrated.
if she doesn't improve in a few days..you'll have to make a decision.

They definitely need better feed. I would suspect nutritional deficiencies or Mareks. I hope it's not Marek's.
