One of my 9 week old Bobwhites, Llama, seems irritated by one of his feet! He rapidly taps it on the ground restlessly but there is no buildup of poop or any other substance that could be causing a nuisance. His feet are pretty much spotless and There’s no swelling to be seen! Should I be looking out for anything?

Try soaking his feet in warm Epson salt water. There may be something stuck on his foot, or the start of an infection, or an injury. Epson salt soak will help all those things.

Here’s another photo, have been soaking his feet, will try salt in the water next time!

He’s fine during the day when he’s outside, they’ve got a range of flooring, some wire, some grit hay and towels. A few branches too. It’s seems as though it’s only when we bring him inside at night he gets funny. We’re currently mid-construction of their outdoor enclosure so we bring the 3 of them inside for the nights into a bird cage.
