Young Quail with Older Hens?

I currently have an overflow of males from my 6/15 hatch, and was wondering if I can put one of the boys with my four 2-year old hens? Has anyone else had success?

The celedon gals are docile, but the jumbos can be mean. They had a male mate from their original group, but he died a few weeks ago. They didn’t like him either. And I hate to impose that “new boy But I need to figure out my boy situation soon…(I am not a cull fan of healthy birds.)

The age is less important than their personalities. It won't hurt to try, but I would take them all out, clean and completely rearrange their living area, then put them all (including the new guy) in at night so they wake up to "new" surroundings.
