I have a whole group of pigeons who come to me everyday for food. Yesterday I found this young one by the front door, I brought him inside and checked him out. He has a very very sharp and skinny breast bone along with a slight cross beak, has a very hard time picking up the seeds and is very light weight with hardly any or no fat or meat. He is weak and loves when I cuddle him. I started him on Vitamins so hopefully that will help. Any other ideas as to what might be wrong with him?
I also gave him some crop milk to boost him up and he really loved it!
He are some pictures of him. He is very young still. What else should I try to do with him? He seems to have a harder time swallowing and droppings look normal. I can never feel a crop on him and he is always wanting to eat.

Thank you for your help!

Edit:
I found a bump right round the neck area do you know what it could be?

Thanks for the reply!
I didn't see any canker in his beak. does canker start that low down? It almost feels like a growth.

There has been a lot of birds outside with canker so maybe.... I've been giving copper sulfate in their water for almost a week now.

Canker can even form in the crop. It’s not always visible in the mouth/throat. Does his breath have a bad/sour smell?

You’ll need more than copper sulfate for an active case, metronidazole is what’s typically recommended.

No, I haven't smelled his breath. I'll go do that. Where can I get metronidazole?

You can order it online, this is what I have: https://jedds.com/products/meditric...8TdVOAepGh-GGaErS3XLhuuHx_VyTxV1ZA4kU7Di0YplP

However, it’s important that he gets treatment quickly, so if you can find a rehabber who accepts pigeons that would be best, as they’ll probably already have the medication on hand.
Thank you very much! I've been calling my wildlife rescue and haven't heard from them. So I'm just trying to help him from what I know. Your replies are super helpful, thank you! I contacted a vet I know, and still haven't heard from either.

I’m sorry you haven’t found any other help so far, here’s a group that can help find a nearby rehabber if you have Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/groups/Palomacy/

If the vet replies to you, I would tell them the pigeon is a domestic pet, as vets will sometimes refuse to treat a “wild” animal even though pigeons are feral.

I don't do facebook but I did contact them! They said to feed him warm peas and he did eat some!
