Hi everyone!

I was recently given two males which appear to be young. I don’t have any information on them. They seem to be friendly so far and will let you hold them if caught. I’m keeping them separated from my hens for now. The gray one just started crowing since I’ve had him.

I’m curious of what breed/mix they might be and temperament of breeds. They both have feathers on their feet and the white one has solid black eyes.

They look like silkies with lot of leakage to me. Both have silkie feathers which is recessive. They could be 75% silkie 25% something else. The feathers on the feet also point towards this. They should also have 5 toes on each foot. Don't know enough about comb phenotypes, but they look like combs a silkie could have. Both are crested and the grey one has a beard. Really the only thing that makes me question whether it's pure silkie or not is the lack of fibromelanosis.

Thank you for the good information. I looked closer and they both have 5 toes on each foot.
