Young Silkies with rooster?

I have several 3-month-old silkies (hens) and wondered if it would be safe to put them in with my 1-1/2-year-old rooster. Or do I just have to try it & see? (The young roosters are already crowing!)

how big is your other rooster? He will probably try to breed your babies if he is a young roo and could injure them if he is a lot bigger than they are.

The rooster is quite a bit larger than the young hens. It might be best to wait a couple more months, yes? And let them get a little bigger.
