I thought it would be fun to see what’s the youngest people have see their turkeys strut?

Last year my two poults that turned out to be males starting strutting at 4wks old.
Royal palm, Beep-Beep.

This little one started under 2wks old. Store had him marked as artisan gold.

I say “him” but do keep in mind that females can strut too. My very, very limited experience has been that only my males strutted so early. I hope I ended up with mostly females this year. Otherwise I’ll be stocking the freezer and trying again next year.

So what ages have you guys see your poults strut?
I think it looks hilarious 😆

When you got it, flaunt it. Great pictures.
Haha, yep! Thanks:)
I have had them strut as young as 3 days old.
Wow, so young!
I had one of my new arrivals hold it’s wings out when approaching the older golds that were eating from my hand. Not a strut, but a little attitude 😆
Turkeys are so entertaining no matter their age.

My mom claims she saw one of mine that are just under a week old strut yesterday. I haven't seen it yet but I'm going to start watching to see if I can get a picture.
My daughter takes a couple out at a time to run around and that’s when we typically see full strutting. I think all the running around in a different location gets them excited. Haha.

My palms took several weeks if I remember right, but the bourbon reds I have are almost 3 weeks-ish old and have a couple that are starting to chest bump and fight and one that I've caught strutting for a second a couple times. Hoping to have a mixed bag this time instead of all toms...crossing my fingers haha
