I just got this little Turken two weeks ago. She's very chill and eats and drinks fine. She's social but does seem a little sleepy. Of course it's very hot here so they're all a little sleepy. She has these sores on her neck, comb and eyes. I don't know if she's being pecked or getting sun blisters or has fowl pox. She also has a rather large lump on the right side of her neck. You can see it in the second pic. Is that an impacted crop? The second pic is after I washed her gently with some pure castille soap and warm water. Thank you in advance for any help.

This morning her lump is gone so I'm guessing it was her crop and since I'm a new Turken mama I just didn't know. She is very sleepy this morning and sneezing lightly. Not sure if I should give some meds or some electrolytes or just keep her separated for now. My dog is going ballistic with her in the house so I have her on the porch in a big camping bin with a screen on top.

The sores could be from bugs, ticks, or being pecked on among other things. I have a male turken that got pecked in the back of his neck and it looked like this. It's almost completely healed now, but I would put some blue kyote (spelling..?) on it to prevent picking and promote healing.

See that black scab? Almost completely gone now :)

fowl pox. it's at mosquito bite locations, other chicks get it on their combs/faces but NN having exposed necks, get it on their necks too...

treatment would be same as any other breed and good news is once they have it and recover they're immune rest of life.
