New to seramas. I have a serama pullet that has comb and wattles red and getting bigger. On an older pullet I would be looking for eggs soon. This bird is less than 3 months old; hatched May 1st. Possible or unlikely?

Chickens may start laying as early as 16 weeks, but usually wait until 18-22.

Best of luck!

I just find it quite interesting that a chicken would start laying at such a young age. Next step is to see if she will go broody before she is four months old.

And she has. At age three months twenty days she is now brooding five eggs. My other serama pullets, the same exact age, haven't even started to lay. Now to see if she hatches the eggs. The eggs are fertile-I put one under another broody hen and candled it yesterday; it is developing.
