@Logar any luck? My girls are 18 weeks and 1 day now and still no eggs! My boy hasn't even crowed yet. They're a bunch of teases!

Not yet. I was hoping for an egg by 18 weeks but that was yesterday. My barred rock’s comb is definitely getting bigger but it is still a decent bit smaller than what I have seen on pullets that have just started laying.

Hmmm my girls combs still look a little smaller than that and paler pink. So I think they've still got some time before they start laying. Honestly, it's so hot and humid here, I wouldn't blame them.

Here's the Ancona now. Her comb and wattles are bigger but they still don't like bright red. I added a other Pic next to the cockerel and a watermelon. I'm thinking it will get redder when she starts laying?

First egg finally! At eggsactly 20 weeks as well. It was found the second I got on the bus on my first day back at school . Gives me something to look forward to today so that is good. I am almost positive that it is Star my barred rock that laid it as she has the biggest and reddest comb
