Youngest pullet to lay an egg?

By far the best egg I have ever had! It was a tiny 34 grams. Got a better picture of the egg and a new picture of Star!

Love it! She definitely has a bigger comb than my girls. As we've established, they are all 20 weeks old today. NONE of mine are laying yet. I'm wondering if it's from the heat? It's been over 100 for a week. We're getting a "cold front" tomorrow and the high will only be 96. Here's an update pic I took today.

Possibly, but I wouldn't say 20 weeks is late at all. If anything it's still on the early side. Nothing to do but be patient

Hopefully soon! Fingers crossed you get one in the next few weeks 🤞

You have a very handsome cockerel as well!

Well turns out Princess is actually the one laying. Makes a tiny bit of sense given she has the deepest red comb of them but a Brahma laying at 20 weeks is crazy!

Edit: never mind. I think she may be my second layer. I just got the egg and it is smaller than my first egg (by one gram).

I have a trail cam set up in my coop facing the nesting boxes so I can stalk them haha.

I've seen a few of them fluff around but nothing significant yet.

I've been seeing A LOT of feathers lately. I know they're not supposed to molt this year since they're only 5 months old but I'm wondering if it's their last adolescent molt? They're not bare or anything.

Is molting that predictable though? My EEs and Wyandottes all molted in June, and then my rooster started at the end of July. Now one of my new young Wyandottes (whom I got in July) is in the middle of a molt, but her sisters aren't. 🤷‍♀️
