Youngsters losing feathers?

I have eight almost 10 week old Australorp/+ (?) birds. I have noticed fluffy feathers on the drop board on the past few mornings. Seems a bit odd that this is happening during our winter weather.

I have not examined any of them, what should I be looking for?

It could be an adolescent molt. They have to shed and regrow feathers a few times as the birds grow.

Yup.

Luckily the juvenile molts are not hard bare skinned molts, they'll be fine.
