How's it taste?

Never tried it. Gave one to my doctor who is fascinated with white pumpkins. He said the flesh is white.

The sides on a couple of my raised beds are coming apart, looks like the wood has rotted on the board ends. I started using t-posts to reinforce the sides, but needed more.

The ones at Lowe's are very thin, would probably crumble with one hammer blow, and are $5 each. I checked rebars, and even 2' are $5. Nope.

I have t-posts holding up some chicken wire, am going to exchange them with some nylon posts I have on hand, which are strong enough for lightweight fencing.

Making do with what I have. Once weeded this bed will be planted with carrots and collards.

I buy the longer rebar at Home Depot and cut it to whatever length I need.
3/8" x 20' is just $7.77 which makes it around 39¢/linear ft

1/2" x 20' is $13.76 or 69¢/lf

Much more affordable than buying precut but you do need something like an angle grinder with a cutoff wheel or a hacksaw.

I have bolt cutters, but not enough strength to cut something as thick as a rebar. I use them mainly to cut cattle panels.

Bolt cutters come in multiple sizes. The longer the handles, the more powerful they are.

Mine have long handles. I put one handle on the ground, stand on it, and use both arms to push the second handle down. And that's for cutting cattle panels!

I don't have upper body strength.
