I believe I have a food allergy to cayenne. After eating the soup made with a couple of the unknown peppers, I ended up feeling exactly like I used to feel before I quit eating cayenne peppers. If I make the soup with jalapenos, it does not affect me this way.
Rehomed the unknown pepper plant.
I grow cayenne to use in pepper vinegar. That's about all the heat I can handle. Traditionally here it is drizzled over collards. I've seen people put it on all kinds of foods as well as the peppers cooked in various things.
I had some accidental habaneros a few years ago. I did not eat them. I gave them away.
