You may well be right.

I believe I have a food allergy to cayenne. After eating the soup made with a couple of the unknown peppers, I ended up feeling exactly like I used to feel before I quit eating cayenne peppers. If I make the soup with jalapenos, it does not affect me this way.

Rehomed the unknown pepper plant.
Hope you are feeling better. You had better stick to the jalapenos.

I grow cayenne to use in pepper vinegar. That's about all the heat I can handle. Traditionally here it is drizzled over collards. I've seen people put it on all kinds of foods as well as the peppers cooked in various things.

I had some accidental habaneros a few years ago. I did not eat them. I gave them away. :)

Yesterday I planted some zinnia and sunflower seeds and added a few marigold in the melon bed.

It rained last night and we have drizzles this morning. No watering this morning. More rain expected Mon and Tues.

Picked another pan of peas. I have close to a gallon of peas shelled. I will blanch and freeze those today.

I see a couple flower buds starting in the potatoes. The pole green beans are starting to make runners.

How many feet of peas did you plant for a gallon? I had 8' of row, and got about 4 cups of shelled peas.

My second sowing is blossoming and I see little peas growing.

I have baby beans!

Tomatoes are blossoming, squash not yet, but getting big.

Pumpkins (big), watermelons on left, cantaloupes on right:

And I planted more squash. I'm trying to implement succession planting more this year.

Volunteer tomato can stay, for now.

I'm guessing it is about 16-18 ft. planted on both sides. It was just a scrap of chain link fence. It was originally put up as a back stop for baseball when my grandson was small.

I turned it into a bed for peas. I will get a few pickings off these before the mildew takes them. They are still full of pods. They did well last year. I still have a couple packs in the freezer.

Your beans are looking good!

Volunteer plants make me smile.
