Your 2025 Garden

I stayed in today another day of weeding the garden.
Turned to hot to go out upper 80's next couple days.

So far the only thing I've gotten from the garden is green onion/chive-y things from Egyptian Walking Onions and asparagus.

Went to the greenhouse yesterday morning to water some hanging baskets. As I started to reach to check the first one, I noticed a HUGE black snake behind the basket climbing the wall. Hubby and I had to almost empty the greenhouse to get the snake out. I could not believe how fast this big thing could move.
He was about 6 ft long.

While the greenhouse was empty we looked for any hole he could have crawled through to get in. We could find nothing. Windows are screened, concrete paver floor, no holes anywhere we could find.

So glad the snake did not get in the nearby run I have some babies in.

Please be careful in your gardens, greenhouses, outbuildings and collecting eggs. Watch where you put your hands!

After all that, I went to the garden and picked a few more squash and tomatoes. Yes I was looking hard! Had the heebie-jeebies all day!

Planted a variety of things. I saved seeds from sweet corn, corriander/cilantro, and pinto beans. Corn and cilantro all coming up but the pinto beans didn’t come up with the exception of a few. And I planted 4 rows! Grrr lol. I just transplanted a variety to fill in the gaps.

Planted from seed:

Transplanted:
More peppers, kale, broccoli, watermelon, Swiss chard, eggplant.

Did you find out what kind it was? I only see garter snakes here.
