I need to pick snap peas tomorrow. I thought I'd pick them after watering, but I was tired from the heat and didn't want to push it.

I canned 16 pints of tomatoes. I have 2 trays rippening up on the counter. I will can quarts from these.

Headed to the garden early. Another extremely hot day expected. It's 6:30 am and a muggy 77f already. So ready for this heat to break.

We just got a brief downpour. Not nearly enough, but beggars can't be choosers.

Please, Mother Nature, send us more. It's the first rain in two weeks, and it's been a very dry month.

Looks like a pumpkin to me.

It definitely looks like a pepo, but the fruit is the wrong shape for a traditional pumpkin. That's why I wondered about a pumpkin-zucchini cross.

The shape of the ovary is the shape of the young fruit is the shape of the mature fruit.

I have grown pumpkins that looked exactly like that.
