Your 2025 Garden

Merry it’s-going-to-be-mid-forties-for-the-next-three-nights everyone! I found a third (roughly kiwi-sized) melon forming while wrapping them.

I hope this works, my original intention had been to wrap each planter and trellis separately but the vines have wrapped around them indiscriminately and it occurred to me I should be trying to keep the warmer air closer to the plants. Definitely need to rethink the setup for future years to make this sort of thing easier.

I planted Curly Giant and Old Fashioned Henpecked mustards yesterday. Still having to water, wish it would rain.

@R2elk Beautiful berries! Are they an everbearing type?

A lot bigger than mine ever got this year. I need to start over again, I think. The plants sent a lot of runners and not many berries
I have to do this too. I've been watering the runners. Hope to clean out the bed and pull old plants. Then replace with the runners.

Mine as well. This is the first year with the Eversweet variety and they're running amok with no tasty little gems. I'll give them another year to straighten up and fly right. It won't hurt me to do a bit of research in the meantime. I'm finding this page to be a good start.

Yes, there are 4 different varieties and all of them are everbearing.
I was curious because of the difference in our climates. I sometimes see ever bearer plants for sale in spring but I've not tried to grow them.

The only fresh strawberries I see this time of year are at the grocery store. They are huge, hollow and just don't taste as good. Yours look good!
