So the finch cage was too big. He found a different birdcage I forgot about.

Perfect! We'll probably have to go with a dog kennel or a fenced-in area eventually, but this should last a long time!

The light was supposed to be above them 18" and at 50%, so I turned it to 100%. It's on 18 hours per day.

I bought a lavender kit and I had it in the window but after I set up the little greenhouse I put it in there and it has already sprouted.
I've tried to grow lavender probably five times over the years. It never comes back even if we mulch it. Maybe there's a version for growing in the frozen tundra of Wisconsin and surrounding states?

I've never been able to get it to grow. I was so surprised when I seen the sprout coming up. I'm wondering if there's some type of lavender that would grow for your zone.

That's another great idea! We'd have to buy another one though as the XXL one is in the breeding coop for a broody jail. There's about 25 silkie hens and right now, not one is broody though. 😲 Shocker!

The clicker is though, if using a grow light like I am, somehow attaching that inside so it's the right height. That cage is tall so he'll have to figure out something.
I just have my pepper plants in pots on TV stands in front of a window over the heater, waiting until the outside temperature 🌡️ is up to 73 degrees minimum.
Of course, I don't have cats or dogs, due to tripping hazard; just have the two box turtles inside in their critter cages and then the hens outside in their hen house.

I love in northern Ohio and grow English Lavender. It has come back for three years now(hope I didn't jinx myself!)

I know I know I didn't learn from any of my previous years in the last 20 years of gardening 😂😂 but I didn't label my seedlings I said I will definitely remember what I plant where 🙄🙄 haha and have no idea what this is, I think it's chamomile? It's definitely some kind of herb because that's all that's in this tray... any guesses?

Did you plant any arugula?
I dont think so? 😂😂 I cant believe I didnt label them and really thought I would remember. This tray was supposed to be all "chicken herbs" for their herb box in the run, I know theres peppermint and mountain mint and then I cannot remember what the other 2 rows were 😂 I dont think its arugula though because I didnt buy any lettuce seeds other than collards this year haha
