Your best guess??

If it really is a Maylay they are really aggressive but I would have a hard time giving her up. They are so different, rare and unique. I would love to find some locally.

I have read that as well. She was hatched by a bantam Dk Brown Leghorn, who is next to smallest in my little flock of 8. I have been fascinated watching 'Mama' teaching her how to be a chicken & 'flock etiquette'. So far she and 'Mom' are at the bottom of the pecking order. It will be interesting to see if 'nurture' softens the effect of 'Nature'.
