Traffic jam at the coop door. Pictured is Frannie the orp, Mother Delilah the cochin mix, Barney the orp roo (he was mad at himself for sleeping in!), and if you look closely, you will see Caliopi the barred rock trying to get out. I am new to chickens and loving every minute of it!

Here are my pet chickens, They are Red Stars. Ginger figured out if she hid her head in the haybale the rooster couldn't find her. I took her out several times, and she went and stuck her head back in the haybale again until the rooster left. The Rooster is Duke, He is gentle, goes for car rides, rides in the tractor, keeps an eye out for hawks, and loves tomatoes. Duke enjoys long walks on the farm, drinks on the front lawn, going to sleep early, getting up with a yell and snacks on the back porch....
