I live in Maine, so I've been researching cold weather hardy birds. I have 14 now, I think I would add:

hamburgs
chantecler
more silkies
oooh, and a barred rock (they look like loons, don't you think?)

I would also love a pair of peafowl....maybe this winter I'll get an incubator for christmas and go for hatching my own babies next spring.

I am very happy with my blue/black/splash and buff orps but I could always have more. I would wish for more coops to raise more of the beautiful roos of those breeds. I love to look at them. Everything else is poultry but not chickens.
