I pick Radagast. Though so many are awesome. I read the Hobbit in 5th grade, MANY years ago and have been a huge fan ever since of the books and movies.
Gandalf would be an easy first choice, but I love the way Radagast is portrayed in the movies. I love that birds nest in his hair and that he has moss growing on only one side of his face like a tree. He is at one with nature, quirky and not quite right in the head, all redeeming qualities IMO! Not to mention his rabbit led vehicle. View attachment 2577085

I'm pretty sure that's... Bird poop from the birds on his head... But yeah he's a pretty good character!

Radagast wasn't even in The Hobbit!

He was in the Silmarillion, but not The Hobbit. He also wasn't the goofball that the movie made him into.

We had a trip to New Zealand all lined up for March of last year, but we all know what happened then!

Yeah. I went to Japan and New Zealand. I visited Weta Studios in Wellington and booked the Hobbit feast tour in Rotorua.
There was so. much. food!

Love it! My daughter and I are major LOTR and Hobbit geeks!
We are definitely planning to make this trip at some point in the future.
She is also in love with Japanese culture and anime and is teaching herself Japanese at the moment!
Planning a trip there next year!

Nice! I've been to Japan several times, but that was the first time I'd gone in the spring.
Kudos to your daughter on learning Japanese. 母は日本人でしたから日本語を円強した。

Yes she is absolutely obsessed and she’s all of barely 13! Even talking about going there for university or taking a half year for high school.
All of the chicks we’ve hatched this year and kept have Japanese names too.
I will have to have her read your post when she wakes up
