Your favorite thing about Fall!

I have found something that I don't like about fall AND chickens. . .MOLTING! I have one that has turned into Jeckyll n Hyde! About ready to put her in her own pen!!

Cool, clear, blue sky mornings - that's what I love!

The smell, you get to harvest things from your garden, pumpkin doughnuts and apple cider. I also have a lot of good memories of going to my Aunts farm in Ohio so every year at this time the memories start coming back

Feeling ready for winter.
The hay barn stacked full. The woodshed, ditto. Not this year, cause of me being sick, but usually the rows and rows and rows of home canned goods. Knowing whatever winter brings, we're ready!

That's a good feeling to know you're ready for the next season!

The color contrast of golden rod and wild asters - the season of 'Gold and Purple'.

Cooler weather. Apples, and all things that go with that, cider, butter, sauce, preserves, etc.
That and fall is my time of year to hit the woods and fill the freezer.

Fav thing about fall here in texas is finally a break from 100F+ days.
