Your favorite thing about Fall!

No, they are standing in a paddock on a neighboring property. They were planted by Newley weds back in the 1940's. There house was to be built at the end of them. But then WW11 began and he went off to war, never to return. So sadly the trees that were to line the driveway to there new home are just 2 lines of perfectly spaced trees in a sheep paddock .

Aww. That's sad! Our Sycamores were planted by the owner who built the house. and then there are a few "volunteers". Not in rows or lining the drive but just kind od nicely randomly spaced.

I can't choose just one. Clear blue skies. Cool, brisk weather. The antics of squirrels hoarding hickory nuts, acorns, and hazelnuts. The smell of ripening apples. The Crimson, scarlet and gold of maple leaves and winter squash. The smell of spicy pumpkin bread baking in the oven.

I agree with Charlie - breaking 100+ degree temps. I live in the Phoenix area. Anything below 80 degrees is what we call gorgeous. Halloween is my favorite holiday. And football just started. "It's the most wonderful time of the year!"
