My LEAST favorite thing about fall..........the pervasive smell of skunk overlying my little valley from my neighbor's planting of Oregon's largest cash crop.

Stuff just stinks.

Apple pies. Pumpkin pies. Pies in general. Orange and red leaves. Sweaters. Boots.

I LOVE Fall.

I actually like a light touch of 'skunk' essence - from the animal not that cash crop.

Yes they are!!!

We have several! they are so pretty. And Ugh ...so prolific!

And we mow the leaves

They are both part of the Acer group . I think the plane , trees have bigger leaves. The leaves on these trees are bigger than a dinner plate. But yes they definately belong to the maple family.

Yeah, It's in the Maple family and it's a Sycamore!

No, they are standing in a paddock on a neighboring property. They were planted by Newley weds back in the 1940's. There house was to be built at the end of them. But then WW11 began and he went off to war, never to return. So sadly the trees that were to line the driveway to there new home are just 2 lines of perfectly spaced trees in a sheep paddock .
