Your heaviest Egg

I just brought in a 95g egg this morning from the hen house - it sure made the 63g egg next to it look tiny. All I could think was OUCH!

How much did your heaviest egg weigh?

Half a pound. It was so big it nearly covered by whole hand. They put it on display at the local feed store!

I recently bought two standard cochins. I have always heard they lay smaller eggs. The first egg I got was the size of a goose egg! She is a 10 lb bird but still I have never EVER seen an egg that large. I can't even put them in an egg carton... it would never fit
