Your Near Death Experience

Not a near death thing but scary nonetheless. I had surgery and when i woke up i couldnt move my body, lips, throat, nothing would work I had to throw up but couldnt. I laid there for 5-10 minutes until all my body finctions came back. The docs didnt believe me at first until i told them what they said while i was awake but "paralized" I am still afaraid of general anasthetics.

Hi! My nearest death experience was just after my Dad had been diagnosed with cancer and I was working all week out-of-town. It was important to me to get home on Fri's so I could spend at least the weekend with my parents. I had worked a long day down around Ocala FL and decided to drive back home that evening.
Made it all the way back to 15 miles from home. Must have fallen asleep and truck left the road, rolled a few times, and the cab squashed against a tree (smashed, flattened, squashed) sideways and upside-down.
I was not wearing my seat-belt and must have been thrown from the truck somewhere in the rolling.
I'm told, I somehow crawled to the nearest house about 1/4 mile away and they found me laying on their porch banging on the bottom of their door (looking like 'swamp thing' because I'd crawled through the muddy ditches to get there) --- both collar bones were broke, a broke leg, and vertabrae fractured in 2 places.
It's still a mystery how it all happened, but I don't drive now unless it is an emergency.

Was attacked by a german shepherd when I was 5. I was wearing a thick winter coat with a hood and snow pants which is what saved me. Dog grabbed me by the back of the neck and shook me. The attack started at one end of the block and ended at the other end when a lady heard me screaming and came out and beat the dog off me with a broom. Dog then turned on her and attacked her. Parents took me to er where the docs found bites from my ankles to the crown of my head. Since the dog turned on someone else and the attack was so bad they had to assume it was rabid and I had to undergo the shots in my abdomen ( they were way worse than the bites). Until that lady beat the dog off me I seriously believed I was going to be killed and eaten by the shepherd. Scary stuff for a 5 year old

Edited because I cant spell

I came very close when I gave birth to my son. The Doctors gave my DH the "we can save one or the other of them but probably not both"
speech. Thank all the powers that be- we both came through it! Must be the stubbornness that runs in our family that saved us both!

Hi! It's not something I think about often, but my sis-in-law lost her youngest brother recently (Rest in Peace, Gerald) .
He was a problem child and ran from a traffic stop because his liscense had been taken (for drinking and driving) and abandoned the vehicle. Family just assumed he was 'hiding out', but they found his body in the woods near where the car was abandoned --- 3 days later. Honestly, that is just so sad. There, but by the grace of God went I... If I'd headed crawling off in the wrong direction, I might have been lost and found dead-in-the-woods days later myself (I was concussed and have no memory of the event or the next 4 days).
I'd like to think someone would have been more enthusiastic looking for me, but who knows.

1. When I was about 5 we were at a water park in the wave pool and I got pushed under the water by someones float, I woke up while they were doing CPR.
2. 4 days after delivering my daughter, my heart wasn't working and all the fluid in my body was trapped in my chest and abdomen. It's horrible drowning on your own body fluid.
