Your Nesting “Boxes”

It’s always fun to see what we can use repurpose items for. Nesting boxes are one of them!
I have ducks an geese.
my ducks have an upside down chicken nesting box set that they use, and my geese have a dogloo, endtable cabinet, and I just gave them a dollhouse the ducks used to use outside. I actually just figured out I could put the doll house on it’s side and have two nesting slots.

I might need to re arrange so the doll house is against the back wall, but that’s something to do when the geese are out tomorrow

So please tell me about your nesting “boxes,” share pics, discuss.

ha when I’m out now and I see shelves and cupboards and stuff like that I’m like. Nesting box!

My hens' favorite is an old wicker cat bed I found at goodwill. I currently have 12 hens, and 6 nest boxes, and this is nearly always the only one they use.

I was going to, but I didn’t want to discourage people from sharing their chicken nesting “boxes,”

My first nest boxes were milk crates. I've since redesigned things and built roll away boxes that I can gather eggs from outside my coop. Only have chickens now days. When I had ducks and geese they stayed on my farm pond.

I use old wine crates I picked up from the local country club...kinda cool....at least I think so anyway

I use milk crates too. Ive used an old dog kennel in the past.

Old kitchen cabinet. Fits my ducks and chickens. Though they usually aren't in there together.

I don't have any pictures, but I use five gallon buckets on their side with half the lid attached (to produce a lip to keep the bedding in better)

This is what I use.
Cut the fronts out and you have perfect lightweight stackable nestboxes.
When they get dirty you can just tip them out.
