She is such a pretty pup. It's sad what some animals go through. I knew a rottwieler with almost the EXACT same story. They got him as a puppy, put a chain around his neck, tied him to the trampoline and would throw food at him. The chain grew into his neck, between the chain, maggot IN HIS NECK, and the lack of proper food, his growth was stunted. Animal control took the owner to court in which his excuse was that Victor the Rottie was a "vicious killer". Victor's new family gave the judge pictures of this "vicious killer" with their 7 year old daughter playing ball. Needless to say the abuser, lost the battle. Victor remains the poster dog for our local humane society.

When I was at the vet early this summer, a little black pit and lab mix was brought in with its collar imbedded in its neck. We were all sick over it, and it was the sweetest dog. That is what just makes me furious, is these dogs and cats are so loving and trusting, and then some jerk of a human does this to them. I don't understand WHY people don't just call someone and tell them they can't take care of their dog anymore, please help!!!! It's one phone call for crying out loud!!!!

She is a beautiful dog, love the blues. You did a wonderful thing!!!
