Pekins for me...love their silliness and the cocked head and beady black eye studying everything I do...one of the hens is extremely vocal and bossy...they exhibited some extreme pool envy last week when I bought big kiddie pools for the geese...I was filling the goose pool and the ducks were watching and chatting with each other...they looked at the goose pool, walked over and looked at their little pool...looked at me and I swear swore at me...they kept repeating the process until I gave in and got them a big pool just like the geese had...that stopped all the fussing...them thar ducks had a serious case of pool envy...I am so well trained...I hav e four Rouens but the Pekins are my favs...

Muscovies, I have had muscovies for years, and that is what I will always have.. I'm with Cottage Rose, keperofthehearth, all that they said and more...

Rouens are the first breed I've ever had and I find they've had the best temperament so far and are very loving.

Mallards are nice too but can be very loud! =]

Pekins........pekins.......pekins............love,love,love mine. I have 8 and 2-Rouens. My Pekins are so much fun. My Rouns are absolutely beautiful...The only problem with Pekins is that since they are so heavy, they tend to get Bumble Foot constantly. Rough ground is the cause. They need soft grounding like straw or soft wood shavings. I spent $1000 on my duck at the Vet. She had a staff infection in her foot and we almost lost her. She is fine now but has a limp. She's my baby !!!!!!

Scovies! They are sweet, quiet, and pretty.
Pekins are a close second.
