Your opinions on my coop please!

I don't mean to rain on your parade but I bought that exact same coop from TSC along with six chick's, because thats what the specifications said on the box, and found out pretty quick how poor that coop is, in terms of space.

The actual coop is barely adequate for 2 birds. You have made a magnificent run for them but that doesn't make up for the inadequate home they have to go to at night, and in the colder months will spend most of their time in.

Dont get me wrong as I can absolutely relate, I bought the same coop initially. But you're doing a great disservice to your flock of 4 by keeping them in that space.

I ultimately ended up building my own walk in coop and things are much better.

Thank you for the information. Yeah, I know the coop is small, I put in ventilation and even an exhaust fan. Only the 2 Banty chickens go into the coop, the other 2 sleep outside in the duck pile. I am also working on enclosing the bottom part with boards to make a better protected area for them if they want to get in out of the weather.

Photo dump! Did some changes. Took the heat lamp away, was just a 38w bulb, since babies are 10 weeks old now. And put a tarp on the back side for some better protection. This is a 9 x 18 run, and will be attached to the original run when hubby gets the fence painted, which is 9x7. Hoping that the ducks will continue to lay in the small kennel instead of me having to crawl into under the nesting boxes. Haven’t had time yet to cut the boards to enclose the bottom part.
And wanted to show the ventilation and fan in the coop. Only the 2 Bantys sleep in the coop at night, the 2 young birds and the ducks sleep together outside under the table or where ever they want.
Let me know what you think. Also, once the run is in its permanent place it will have 16x16 pavers around the bottom like it had before.
