When you can't remember is you locked the coop, so you go out at midnight in the freezing cold to go check. (Just did this last night. It was locked. )

When you go out to the coop, do a head count, and notice 1 is missing. So you scream for hubby and start an all out search & rescue...only to realize you didnt count the one your holding!

I can’t have chickens where I live, so that’s why I got quails. That was probably for the best, considering my small hands that would easily tire when holding a chicken for as long as I hold and cuddle my quails.
