you know i have been asked soooo many times if my ducks can lay with out a drake. now thats by everyday people so i try to always answer all the questions nicely. they dont know i get asked that all the time and really starting to wonder about people.
BUT A VET!!!

Did this person only have one duck? Maybe her vet was trying to be subtle in getting the duck a new friend instead of being alone (without outright saying "you should get her another duck so she won't be lonely!")?

Then again, even if that was the case, lying is not professional at all, so this vet seems pretty shady no matter what.
